Beautiful handcrafted vintage glass sculpture of a whale with sommerso blue & lilac, cased in clear glass designed by Benito Marcolin
Large and heavy this blue & lilac whale is cased in neodymium (a.k.a. alexandrite) glass, a neat colour changing glass that appears a lilac pink colour in natural day light and changes to almost a baby blue under artificial light
The whale was designed by Benito Marcolin, a murano glass master, who with his brother Josef set up FM Konstglas of Ronneby, Sweden in 1961
This large and heavy piece will make an excellent display piece.
