Stunning cream and gold sommerso Cordonato d’Oro bowl with stunning encased gold ropes and an exceptional shape and size.
The bowl is square shape with the inside of the bowl a translucent alabaster with a luxurious gold encased in a ribbed body which measures 13cm x 13cm
Cordonato d’Oro was a technique used by Ercole Barovier, c. 1950. Cordonato d’Oro in english translates to Rope of gold. It is literally 24 carat gold leaf twisted to look almost like a rope.

CONDITION: Perfect vintage condition with very little evidence of use, no chips, scratches or marks or any kind, it has very light wear/movement marks on base which considering this bowl is over 50 years old is amazing.
